Revive Your Winter Boots and Coats with Leather and Suede Cleaning
As winter is fast approaching, it’s time to dig out the winter boots and coats. But if yours are looking a little sorry for themselves after months of being buried at the back of the wardrobe or cloakroom, now would be a good time to give them a bit of TLC and revive them ready for wear once again. Of course, leather and suede is not straightforward to clean – a leather jacket can’t simply be thrown into the washing machine and whilst it is possible to clean suede boots with a soft brush, this is time consuming and doesn’t always give you the finish you are looking for.

Pre-Treatment
Leather and suede items are often neglected as they aren’t easy to clean properly at home, which means they’re regularly banished to the back of the cupboard, or used when they are not looking their best. The damp British weather can cause damage to outer clothing and footwear, with watermarks and mud splashes common place. Our wet cleaning team will carry out a thorough pre-treatment to remove any stains, before washing the garment and cleaning again if necessary.
Colour Restoration
Whilst it’s tempting to hit the shops to replace the previous year’s winter coat or boots, with good quality clothing all it takes is a little care and attention to have the item looking as good as new once again. As suede and leather are natural materials, they require the natural oils to be replenished to bring the garment back to life. Once the item has been cleaned and dried, it will be finished with a colour restoration treatment before being buffed to prolong and protect the item. This process saves the need to purchase new items, meaning you get value for money and at least another year’s wear out of your favourite items.
